Romeo & Julie - Vendsyssel Teater 2020 (CD)

In 2020 a unique version of the famous play "Romeo and Juliet" by William Shakespeare found place at Vendsyssel Theatre in northern Denmark - a version with original jazzmusic. Benjamin Koppel where asked to compose music and give his own take on the famous love story. The music is performed by some of Denmarks most experienced jazz musicians, the quartet consist of Benjamin Koppel, Søren Bebe, Morten Lund, Jesper Bodilsen while Molly Koppel contributes with her beautiful voice and sings the story through Shakespeare own words translated into danish.
